14 weeks (+1) - Baby #2
As you may have seen on my 18 month post for Brycen, we are without a laptop, so unfortunately blogging has suffered.
To recap last week, we had our NT scan on Monday (January 28) and found out that baby is just PERFECT and according to the tech, she was 90% sure it's a girl (based on the angle of the dangle theory)! The high risk dr was unable to find a cause of the bleeding, which was still happening at the time of the appointment, and said that this was just MY normal and it should stop in the next couple weeks. Since it was still an active bleed, he said that while he normally doesn't see us again after the NT scan, he wanted to be absolutely sure things were progressing as they should. I have a follow up ultrasound with him on March 6 (18 weeks)... they will also add me to their office "study" for gender and will attempt to confirm the earlier prediction.
Brian has agreed that everything points to girl, and for now, is referring to baby as a girl, or MacKenzie until further notice.
Weekly Stats and Reflection
Date: Thursday, February 7, 2013
How far along? 14 weeks 1 day
According to countdownmypregnancy.com, baby #2 is the size of a apple:
Size: 3.98 inches
Weight: 2.47 ounces
Weight gain - None
Food aversions - BBQ (Anything smoked), Italian sausage (anything with fennel)
Cravings - orange and grape Popsicles
Symptoms - sleeping like absolute crap (partially due to the dog), still spotting
Movement - still just flutters
Gender - thinking girl - will find out March 6 with another ultrasound March 20
Goal for the coming week - drink more and eat better
Looking forward to - confirmation of gender
How Brycen is doing - he is constantly talking about baby and pointing to either his or my belly. We've been working on him saying baby sister, and Kenzie (because I am CONVINCED it's a girl)
Ahhh a girl!!! :) Well almost certainly a girl! So excited for you. Mackenzie is a beautiful name as well.
